Our Story

Our Mission: Hire Beyond the Resume

The Dev Difference exists to make hiring smarter, fairer, and more holistic. We give teams the structure and insight they need to find people who actually fit and use pre-assessments to look well beyond the candidate's resume. We help employers make better, faster decisions based on interview data and ensure that fairness and integrity are centralized throughout.

 

We also offer free mock interviews to help candidates in tech-facing roles to prepare with confidence and improve how they communicate their skills. Our conversational mock interview and real company assessments are much more than just an interview. They are increasing candidate technical communication, critical thinking, and stakeholder soft skills greatly needed in the world of tech.

Why we started The Dev Difference

Jolene, Jovanay, and Moyosore co-founded The Dev Difference in March 2023. With experiences across product management, tech recruiting and software engineering at top tech companies and other startups, they found a shared goal in opening doors for more qualified talent, especially those from underrepresented backgrounds, they each bring passions, skills, and diverse networks to the goal of seeing the world of tech more equitable and representative.
